This is a great article talking about the recycling of plastic bags that could become an input to new plastic bags. While there are issues around the quality of plastic bags, with a little standardization this could potentially be accomplished. What’s still in question is the system were this lives. Will people remember to bring their bags back? I think home recycling is still an educational issue. Do we leverage the post office routes to mail back to were these need to go? Is it a new box for the street?
Or a potential reaction process a person could start on their own?
