Enterprise applications today

I’m amazed how many internal applications an organization can have that seem to never had a usability expert review them. It seems continuity, design, and users are never considered when it comes to internal processes. Its no wonder the information worker of today waste’s so much time chasing down stuff or trying to figure out how to use a system.
The best part is the people responsible for these system just don’t get it. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard app owners say build it and they’ll come…… who????? Such a poor philosophy on incorporating end users into the design process.
