Rock In Taco….
I just read about this place opening up on Irving Park. After reading the Friday night challenge I decided I need to take off a Friday from school and work, run 20+ miles, and go in there and lay down the authority on taco eating.

So I’m approaching month one of vegetarianism. Things have been good to date. No real desires for meat until today. Maybe it was the smell of Central BBQ that shook me but all of a sudden I craved something tough to chew on. I think if I had been a bit more creative in my meal designs over the last month maybe it wouldn’t even matter.
Tonight was the first time in like a month I decided to cook for myself. The other night when I was at the store I decided to try the Morningstar "fake" steak. Previous encounter with the fake chik’n about made me gag. Yick’dy Yack. But I decide to try it out and to my surprise it wasn’t so bad but it was odd texture….
But it lead me to think about this. Could I give myself a break and eat meat one day a month. Think of it as a reward for being good. Does that veto my vegetarian card? So I started with rules of it must be organic, maybe red meat, and do I invite someone over to watch me eat this shining moment…….
Whatever, I’m being retarded but i’m seriously debating this in my head.
Please turn that crap Wild Oats by my house into a Whole Foods and rock my world.
Whole Foods Market Inc. announced an agreement to acquire Wild Oats
Markets for about $565 million, greatly expanding the organic-grocery
chain’s footprint amid stiffer competition.
The move comes as
grocery chains such as Safeway and Kroger have been elbowing into Whole
Foods’ bread-and-butter organic-food business. Wal-Mart Stores has also
beefed up its organic offerings. That’s boosting some food prices as
organic farmers charge more for products …
This weekend I was in Nashville for a baptism. Somehow we ended up at CiCi’s Pizza for saturday night dinner. I haven’t donated money to this fine establishment since college.
In college you basically eat anything whether it tastes good or not. its food and you need a beer to wash it down with. That’s how you roll.
So 10 years later, I’m here trying to imagine this is as good as Memphis Pizza Cafe. No luck and no beer to pretend its good.
Oh look, its a NASCAR convention inside here. Buffets can attract the best clientele. Take for instance the large and I mean fuking large woman who has a plate of ranch dressing that you could swim in. And how about the stack of pizza on the other plate. Good grief. I wanted to go tackle her like a spear flying through the air. I could have you know. Even though she was large I think my little 175lb frame could have taken her down. I just wanted to stand over her and tell her to stop fuking eating!
Now don’t even get that attitude Zack you’re being really mean. I’m not being mean, I’m here to save her life. If we could control our food intake think of the reduced costs in the health arena.
Lets face it. We are in a global battle for economic success. We need people, quality people in the workforce. This country has got to step up and be ready to beat those Chi’s.
So am I still wrong to want to tackle her?
Cool new social networking site for beeeeer drankers!
Coastr is an experiment in social networking for beer snobs (meant as a compliment,
of course!). The basic idea is for you to create a list of your favorite beers, and to connect you with
other people with similar tastes. And those connections will help you discover interesting
new brews that you might have not known about before. "Social beermarking", if you will.
We’ll I’m not exactly in a hopping part of town during the work hours so my food choices are extremely limited. Most of the time I skip lunch or eat like 3 bananas then eat in the afternoon before my ride. So today I couldn’t get up to go scour the ends of Lamar ave for food so I decided to grab some bananas. But that’s so boring. Wait, there is a jar of peanut butter on my shelf. Hmm, it works and dam good. So what should I call this new feast: The Zack Homeless Lunch Plan.
This really makes me happy:
The sweet aroma of strawberries will mingle with Downtown’s urban air when the Memphis Farmers Market opens in May.
After a six-month site search, organizers announced this week that
the market will be planted near Front and G.E. Patterson, just outside
Central Station. Rain or shine, a variety of local produce and other
goods will be sold under a pavilion and in a festive atmosphere from 7
a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday from May 13 through mid-November.
Besides supporting local growers, the market will promote Downtown’s
redevelopment and the health of its growing population, said Andy
Kitsinger, chairman of the nonprofit Memphis Farmers Market board of
directors.
OMG I have discovered the best new treat. Now let me esplain. Over the last 2 years I’ve become an addict to sugar treats. Yesterday I visited the local K-Roger to pick up some soups to eat at lunch. I currently don’t have many options near me to eat out. Not a bad thing as it helps me save money.
Upon browsing the isles I discovered nabisco has come out with a new fig newton. Whole Wheat. My eyes lit up. Yes come sugar and feed me. take away my lull and give me some ump!
Why am I writing this retarded entry. Its of no value other than if you love sweets try these bad boys out.
Do you like ice cream? Do you like a can of good ole can of the Irish finest? Take a second and read this and get your ass in the kitchen and make me some.
